There was a saying – New year, new ventures. For the past few months, my good sisters and I decided to try out a little venture, by putting our hobbies and expertise together to come out with a small blogshop.
For a start, it sounds purely easy, I can provide the technical portion by setting up an e-commerce website and develop fanciful features to enhance customer experience.
The horror and headaches came when we started to think about the following:
- Business theme
- Logo
- Domain name (this one is the worst because it has to be unique in WWW. a lot of our favourite names were all taken up)
- Payment and delivery issues
- and so on….
It was “traditionally’ known that 2 or more heads are better than 1, but I realized it seemed to make things worst as our ideas get more and more creative. There is also a fair share of disagreements and small bouts of frustrations during the planning stage; but it’s all part and parcel of setting up a serious venture. We all grow up and pick up new things along the way.
After weeks of planning, the 3 of us finally managed to come to a consensus and our beloved blogshop Quintessentiallyours.com is born… tada!
