Online Image Editors
I received an MSN message from my sis this morning.
Sis: Hey jie, can help me edit a photo?
Me: eh… how to edit?
Sis: I want to resize my image into passport size. Need to use your image editor, like PhotoShop.
Me: My only software editor is Paint leh.. It comes with Windows ah…
Sis: Paint can meh???
Me: Why not? Or use an online image editior?
Sis: ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I am not a PhotoShop user, and i doubt i’ll ever be one. Why must I pay for a premium software when i can find so many nice online image editors? Pardon me for making this statement. It’s not because PhotoShop is no good. It is useful for professionals but as a photography novice, i think it’s best for me to play around with simple web editors.
I must also confess that i am not a professional photographer and i seldom include many images in my blog, if you have noticed by now.
My favourite online editor so far is Fotoflexer. It has all the basic functions like layering, cropping, resizing, trimming etc…
Yesterday, i was feeling real bored busy at night. Despite my terrible running nose, i simply could not stay away from my lappy even for a night. While waiting for hubby to finish his bathroom adventure, i decided to fiddle around with ONE of the few sites i’ve discovered from DigitalLife.
The first URL that attracts me is Picnik.com
The index page looked impressive, and one does not need to register to try out the features. This is something i love! So i try out some of the features using the image below from bigfoto.com :
The most obvious observation is, it took quite sometime for the page to load completely. More especially so if you are using a shared broadband service at night.
This is one of my favourite edited result.

Cool!!
I like to learn all those editing photos stuffs..
Share more those easy, idiot-proof and fantastic photo-editing software… =)
u know me lar… I am IT idiot.. yet i love taking photos.. =D
sure, i will try out other online photo editing softwares in time to come.. but right now, i prefer FotoFlexer and Picnik.
anyway, you do not need to be an IT expert to be able to use PhotoShop or image editing tools…
