Father’s day early celebration

We celebrated father’s day today.

I came to know about the existence of ‘Father’s day‘ some years back. All along, i thought there’s only such an occasion called ‘Mother’s Day’. My father was ‘officially’ recognized for his hard work on such a formal occasion only in the recent years. Not because he is not important, but Father’s day is not widely celebrated as compared to Mother’s day.

I didn’t actually celebrate both occasions on the day itself all these years. Why?

1. I don’t wish to be charged more than i should be paying in restaurants or when i buy flowers or cake. I know restaurants and bakery shops took this opportunity to increase prices when people celebrate nearer or on the actual day itself. I don’t wish to be taken advantage of this way.
2. Mother’s and Father’s day should be celebrated everyday instead of on the day itself. Why should they be given credit only once in a year?
3. I want to be unique and i don’t wish to follow the crowd
4. We need to plan a day where everyone in the family can gather together for this celebration.

My sis was tasked to buy a cake for dad today. I laugh out really loud when the cake box was opened. See what i mean,

We all enjoyed eating this cake.
