Household Chores
This morning, our common toilet’s heater starts leaking water when hubby tried to take a bath. He started to panic and wanted to call his dad to come down and repair. Looks like he is one of those who just dun feel comfortable handling appliances on his own. Thought all guys are supposedly good at hands-on?
i adored my dad and FIL for being Mr Handymen, one who knows practically how to repair anything! It’s amazing how much an O level-only graduate can do as compared to a Uni Grad. So getting papers are not everything afterall. It’s the skills and experiences that counts.
2 years together, lots of things needs to be done on our own. Over these two years, I’ve/ or perhaps we have learned to:
1. Iron clothes
2. Change light bulbs
3. COOK decent dishes
4. Mop floor
5. Scrub toilets
6. Connect DVD players to the TV set
Sad to say, I’ve never done any of these all by myself before, and there are sure many more things i can learn. I wonder what am i gonna do if my stove spoil. *wails in pain*
