Sunday at Home

It feels so good to be at home today. I hardly had the time to do my own personal work ’seriously’ since school reopened. And today, after releasing my students’ grades online early in the morning,  i make it a point NOT to check the school email nor do anything that’s school work related.

True enough, this little diversion has allowed me to focus on my personal tasks. I completed quite a number of things today:

1. Blog

2. Iron my clothes (more than usual)

3. Whipped up a simple lunch with hubby

4. Made jelly (a simple task but took me so long to squeeze sometime out of my forever tight schedule)

5. Make nice tea and have a relaxing afternoon reading my new book (will review about it when i finish)

sunday enjoyment

Wooo, i really have a relaxing day at home. But the weather’s kind of irritating, don’t you think so? The temperature stood at 31 degrees the whole afternoon.

Our wedding

I was playing around with my new account with Scrapblog this morning. I even managed to dig out two of my wedding pics, and made them into a simple multimedia scrapblog. Scrapblog provides a lot of custom themes to chose from, so i picked one of their popular wedding love theme.

What i dislike about this site is, when i finally decided to publish my scrapbook, it took ages for it to accomplish this task! In the end, guess what this impatient girl did, i did a print screen instead. :)

In a mood for cooking

noodles.jpgI have not whipped up a meal at home for the past 2 months. Reason being that i was tied up with work, preparing for the tour, meeting up with friends etc *excuses* … I had promised myself to cook at least one decent meal at home on weekends but things did not turn up as well as it seemed.

The cooking bug struck me yesterday night (probably also triggered by a MSN conversation with a work buddy) and i urged Hubby to get some fishballs from a nearby supermarket before lunch today.

I simply had enough of packed dinners and lunches. The food sold outside was horrible. Full of MSG and oil.

So there, i had made lunch. :)

V-day celebration with 2 Mr Froggies

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!

In order to avoid the expected huge crowd on the streets/restaurants on the actual day (14th Feb) itself, hubby and I decided to celebrate V-day on the eve. Furthermore, i do not like the idea of dining in a similar manner with many other couples in a restaurant (It really reminds me of those typical match-making sessions, or perhaps even more like couple doing formal examinations in pairs); nor do i like the idea of PDA (a.k.a Public Display Affection).

Maybe i belonged to the conservative kind and being an educator further reinforced my values. i really cannot imagine smooching my hubby in public. What do you think will happen if a cheeky student of mine caught me on camera and upload to Youtube??? There goes my image man.

Back to the topic. So we had our simple V-day dinner at Sakae Sushi. It’s not a very high class place, but i really enjoy eating the little sushi. To add to my enjoyment, we were assigned to a table with my favourite “mascot” — Mr Froggy. Hahhaa, so Ms Sheepy meets Mr Froggy tonight.

Hello Froggy!! The more i look at you the more you look like my hubby :P (Please don’t tell my hubby this)

But seriously speaking, don’t you think Mr Froggy is cute?

Ah, so that’s my V-day dinner :)
