finally i can relax
We seldom can relax like what we did in Singapore yesterday. Heaven has been rather nice to us, it didn’t rain at all yesterday (at least at the places we went to)
Yesterday morning, we went cycling at East Coast Park. The rental shop nearest the MacDonald has added one additional bonus. You pay for an hour, they gave another hour free. Too bad, we didn’t get to utilize the full 2 hours. My legs gave up after cycling for an hour.
Along the journey, we took some rest at one of the unused BBQ pits. I thought about lots of things as i stared out into the blue sea. It made me reflect upon what I’ve done for the past years after graduation. I wish i could do this more often.

Furniture Fashion Blog
A while ago, i was surfing BlogCatalog and once again, i came across an interesting blog entitled the ‘Furniture Fashion Blog‘
The blog is made up of entries of unique furnitures, and it definitely triggers the inert creativity talent in new house owners. Even while i was reading through this blog, i had a sudden urge to re-renovate my own bedroom and bathroom. The designs are so refreshing and unique. I am not sure if these designs can be found in Singapore though. What do you think?

Great Singapore Sale woes
My sis was complaining to me how pathetic the GSS sales are in Singapore. The items that are new and nice-looking are mostly not on sale, and those items that are average looking or from the existing stocks are all going on sale. Well, that’s very true and it happens every year, so what’s new?
As i walked around the shopping centers, neighborhood shops, i could see the same trend. That’s no wonder I can’t seem to buy anything during the GSS every year. (This is good for most of us, don’t you think so?)
However, this time round, i managed to get myself 2 pairs of shorts@ $20 per piece from Giordano and 1 polo-tee for hubby. Not that the prices are fantastically cheap, but these items are top priority on my shopping list.
Due to the high inflation rates this year (i wish my pay is in the inflation list. .. *greatly disappointed* ), we have to seriously reconsider where we spend our $$ on. Gone are the days where we can spurge as and when the urge is there. The increase in the pay is not in pace with the increase in commodities prices.
Since the beginning of this year, i’ve started to add a few more sentences to my new year resolutions :
- strike out the word ‘CAR‘ from my wish list (unless i earn at least 8k per month, i will NOT add it back again)
- cut down on dining in restaurants
- do up shopping list for necessary (die die must have) items ONLY
- walk more rather than take transport (if it’s only 2 or 3 stops. that’s what i have been training for)
- buy less new clothes and shoes (unless the sales are really ridiculously attractive)
Bye bye GSS, maybe i won’t buy anymore items i don’t need.

I would like to recommend two miniclip games which I’ve played during break times as well as before i go to bed lately. Not as if i am so free to source out the games. The games were introduced to me by my brother who is rather good at strategic games. For me, i am seriously hopeless in such games.
I tried the two games below and i find them interesting and at the same time, amusing because of the stupid sound effects. They are not totally brainless, and it requires strategic and thinking skills too.
1. Red Bug puzzle
2. Canyon Defense

I had a really bad dream few years back. I dreamt that when i opened my eyes, i come face-to-face with my own body lying in front of me. At that sudden moment, i felt like crying. I feel that heaven is unfair for letting me die so early. I feel that it’s so unfair that I didn’t even have the time to even say my last words. [Have i really prepared for it anyway, or must we?]
I am going to miss my parents, my hubby and best friends badly. I couldn’t talk to them anymore nor could they see me as they come to terms with my body. I eventually attended my own funeral.
Come to think of it, is death really that scary? Is it really that painful? Is it really the end of a life’s journey or it’s just a beginning of another new journey, elsewhere… Is it true that one is able to see their dead relatives or even their enemies in this so-called foreign land?
Not sure why, but i tend to relate this dream of mine to the current book i am reading. it sounds so familiar.

It’s another Sunday again. During the weekday, i spent sometime to go grocery shopping and at the same time bought some vegetables for the dishes I am going to cook this afternoon. I was never a great cook, however, i do try to make some simple dishes at home once in a while.
The utensils haven’t been used for quite a while and some time was spent cleaning the utensils today.
Here’s our simple lunch. I hope to do this more often.
