After staying in hospital 2 extra days because of jaundice, Brian’s finally home. Like what most people say, enjoy one’s 10 months of pregnancy.
When the baby’s out and home, all hell break loose. Rather than having a peaceful time reading boring stuffs like malignant Mesothelioma, how to make full use of the medisave etc, hubby has turned himself into a clumsy daddy over in minutes.
We had our fair share of “rest” for the 2 days when baby is still in hospital and now it’s time for action.
Thanks to my slow recovery of my caesarean wound (i shall cover the birth and recovery story in another post), I could not help my mother-in-law (MIL) and Hubby much.
Baby slept through the whole afternoon but woke up and cry almost every single hour in the night. He might not be used to a change in environment after staying in the hospital for more than a week. My MIL and father-in-law took turns to wake up and attend to the baby’s cries and feeds, while the husband has to stay close to me to attend to my waking up routines. You see, I simply could not exert the wound at all these days that i need someone to help me out of bed if I were to go toilet at night, so he can’t be attending to the baby. I feel so helpless and sorry for my in-laws but I am glad they are quite understanding up till now.

Congratulations on being home with baby!
Do take care of yourself during confinement and may you have a speedy recovery.
