Almost 60% of my students have at least done part-time sales jobs in their life. In my own opinion, I think sales jobs are the easiest temporary jobs to find in the short term. Some requires only a short term commitment as compared to other temporary jobs.
When I was a student, doing jobs in sales does not come into my mind – at all. I am not one who likes to serve and sell products to people. I am a bad talker and I can’t really persuade people for nuts. I choose to do tutoring jobs instead.
Unlike part-time jobs, being a tutor requires a long time of commitment. For example, I once had a Secondary 2 student. I did not stop giving him tuition till he successfully clears his Os. I just can’t bear to drop him off halfway through Secondary; especially if he has gotten so used to my teaching style.
But down-to-earth part-time jobs do give one some sense of financial security and experience especially if the person is still schooling. We can’t always ask money from our parents right?

I love this new theme of yours! :)
hoho, thanks! i just happened to see it yesterday while surfing =))
Yes, we can’t always asked for our parents. We can earn our own money by having a part time jobs. Instead of having a part time jobs, I become a blood donor and I get paid $50/hour to donate blood! This is really helpful even if it’s just a part time job and the bottom line of this is to save lives. As we all know, Blood bank shortages kill tons of people all the time and it is time to spread the word about blood donation and give blood, you will never know when You might need blood.
