When i met up with hubbie for dinner at Yishun Shopping Centre this week, my craving for Sakae Sushi came back with a vengeance again. As we had sushi quite often, we decided to look for an alternative this time. I guess little kiddo doesn’t mind any food as long as it’s labelled ‘Japan’??
Food courts [...]

We celebrated Mother’s Day (with my MIL) much earlier this year. Hubbie selected this particular restaurant for lunch. It took us quite sometime to find the place. In fact, i find the place rather secluded. Upon reaching the destination, I was hugely surprised by the long queue. The standing space in front of the entrance [...]

I treated my Hubbie to a buffet dinner at Sakura International Buffet recently. They have a new branch at Yio Chu Kang stadium, and since it’s quite accessible, we decided to give it a try. It cost $24+ per pax during the weekdays. They have Nonya specialties during this period of time, truly inspired by [...]

Had a group gathering at Suki Sushi at Ang Mo Kio (near the big This Fashion shop) last Friday. It’s been sometime since i joined the girls for a decent dinner.
The food at Suki is good but not excellent. The sushi plates cost only $0.99 per plate as compared to Sakae Sushi’s $2.00++ per plate. [...]

I am a coffee lover. Every morning, I couldn’t do without a cup of tea or coffee to get my energy going. I’ve tried [...]

When i first heard of ‘Shokudo’ from my friend, I was stunned. I’ve heard of Sudoku but I’ve never seen the word ‘Shokudo’ before. Okay, I must have been a complete mountain tortoise for months.
Shokudo is actually a Japanese Marche-like restaurant where you are given a card at the entrance, and you buy the food [...]

For the past 3 years, Chinese New Year is nothing without my favourite mochi-s. This year, I managed to get my mochi at $1.50 per 100g from a makeshift stall at Hougang Mall.
Mochi is good as a snack anytime of the day. And it’s pretty addictive after eating one. You just want more of them! [...]

My third birthday celebration was held at a place called ‘The Whole Earth‘ vegetarian restaurant in Geylang. This place is highly recommended by my good JC buddy, Juskawaime. Seriously speaking, going to a vegetarian restaurant is the last thing that comes to my mind. Not because i detest vegetarian food, but I just cant go [...]

‘Friends’ are the most important species in this world. Without them, life will be bored and meaningless.
I always treasure the time I spent with my JC and secondary school friends, as they are the ones who have been with me on a longer journey as compared to Uni friends.
Recently, we had another gathering. It’s supposed [...]

Had this sponge cake for breakfast for two days. The chocolatey smell and taste stays on in my mouth even after 15 mins of eating it. Yummy!
Maybe I will try making sponge cakes next time
